Nuclear export inhibitors

Nuclear export inhibitors

Inhibition of nuclear export is broadly applicable to the field of hemato-oncology. Exportin 1 (XPO1) is the nuclear transporter that exports most tumor suppressor and growth regulatory factors, which is upregulated in many malignancies conferring a poor prognosis. XPO1 inhibition, with selective inhibitors of nuclear transport, can inhibit proliferation and promote apoptosis.
