Immune modulators

Immune modulators

Immunotherapies are those that boost the immune system to kill or slow the growth of malignant cells. Examples include interferon alpha; when bound to its receptor this leads to the activation of cell-mediated immunity. Another example is lenalidomide, which increases the anti-tumor activity of T cells and natural killer cells and shows synergy with antibody therapy.
