The Multiple Myeloma Hub are pleased to present a series of expert interviews from the 61st American Society of Hematology (ASH) meeting in Orlando, US. In this video, Nelson Leung, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, US, discusses the mission and vision of the International Kidney and Monoclonal Gammopathy (IKMG) research group.
The IKMG research group was formed in 2011 with the aim of promoting the study of kidney diseases that are secondary to monoclonal proteins, so-called "monoclonal gammopathies of renal significance". Nelson Leung highlights that the IKMG research group is unique because it brings together physicians from several specialities, enabling a broad understanding of the pathogenesis of these kidney diseases.
